Yes Matts solo stuff is a lot different than Weezer and The Rentals. For more instant gratification head for the Pucketts EP which is probably a more satisfying first listen. Still theres some amazing tracks on this album Im especially fond of the opening track as well as Thoughts from a slow train. My fiancee really enjoyed Just Like Movie Stars. Calling it sunday morning music is probably a bit too cliche this is good stuff for when you want to relax away from the craziness. Its found its way through my speakers many times after the traffic jam finally clears and the sun is setting. It also provides an interesting transition into what The Rentals are doing currently. Some of the same elements are present in this albums presentation. Yes the instrumentation is different no Joey Santiago guest here but the same richness of sound is there
