I bought the 5250 after reading that the Kodak ink cartridges were more economical than those of other brands. My subjective impression is that I am spending nearly as much on cartridges as I used to with the old Canon printer. I find that when using some programs I have to print a whole manuscript instead of a single page as I used to be able to do with the Canon. It works well as a copier and OK as a scanner. It has been reliable if a bit noisy. I like it except its too expensive to feed. Hence the low review. Its my impression that all other ink jet printers suffer from the same problem so I am planning a switch to a laser printer
